A few weeks ago, the UFC announced that Jon Jones was coming back to fight on Dec 29th, 2018 for the UFC 230 card. In the MMA world, it is somewhat of a big deal because he is by far the most controversial fighter in the UFC line up.
Because Jon Jones is coming back from a 15-month suspension for using a banned substance that USADA (An organization that oversees the drug testing for multiple athletes.) believes is a performance enhancer.
USADA has confirmed that the first offense was a legit violation for a banned substance, but the 2nd offense is a little bit more complicated because it appears that Jon Jones unknowingly took the substance during his training camp; therefore, his suspensions was reduced from 4 years to just 15 months.
The kicker is, he was suspended from fighting and stripped of his title. What makes this even more tragic, is that Jon Jones has a fantastic record of 22 wins, 0 loss, and 1 No Contest. (The No Contest is where he won that fight, but when USADA found out that he was cheating, they stripped Jon Jones of the belt and gave the win back to the other guy.)
I mean Jon Jones is awesome! So awesome that in his career, there has not been one person to stop him. If you look at his record of the people he fought and beaten, it's incredible the type fighter and talent that Jon Jones possesses.
Jon Jones had admitted that there is no man on this planet that can physically beat him inside the cage. Even the current double champion, Daniel Cormier who is probably considered the best fighter right now on the planet, has lost "twice" to Jon Jones.
So what gives? Why is Jon Jones being put in these situations? Or better yet, why is he putting himself in those situations?

The fact is, we all have our little demons inside of us. Telling us, "That we are no good, we are not good enough, we do not have the right plan, budget, skills, resources, to see our dreams and goals completed.
There is always going to be something, and there is never going to be a perfect time or day to do any of it.
Then guess what happens?
We look for ways to cut corners or find excuses why things didn't turn out the way we expected them too.
Then, the voices in our heads get louder and louder with reasons and excuses to cut corners and accept the way things are.
-Take the diet pill; it's easier than working out.
-Buy this expensive car to make you feel better because everything else is not working out.
-You can't start this business because you don't have an MBA or a college degree from a 4-year university.
-You can't get another job, your too old to start over or to go back to school. What are you thinking?
-The pay is not so bad and besides; I don't want to go through the hassle of looking for another job.
We all have those thoughts and the fact is, we are all good enough to achieve anything we want. The only problem is:
WE ARE THE PROBLEM.
How many times have you come across a diet plan that has worked for thousands or maybe even millions of people wanting to lose weight? But for some reason, it just didn't work out for you.
If the plan is proven and other people have done it, then why can't you follow the plan and execute it like everyone else.?
Because "YOU are in the way of "YOU!"
You can have the best business plan, typing skills, communication skills, degrees from the best universities in the world, but if you do not believe that you can do it, then guess what, you are probably right!
So, the question that I am going to leave you is:
What are you going to do about it?
What goals or plans have you been trying to complete that YOU have been getting in the way of?
Owner, trainer, and your friend
