What is your morning routine like?

I love reading about successful people and what their habits are. For example, the most common trait that successful people have is waking up early and having a very productive morning routine. For example, people like:

Terry Cruise
Mark Cuban
Steve Jobs
Warren Buffet
Micheal B Jordan
Eric Thomas
Grant Cardone

These people wake up early and workout, read, meditate, chant and spend time with their family before the chaos of running a billion-dollar business take over the entire day. "Except for the morning that they dedicate to themselves."

Let's be real, if these people can do it, so can we!

We all know when the day starts, it's going to be crazy because you have to attend your kids, family, work, business emails, social media posts, blog posts, and more. So where do you find the time to take care of yourself, before the chaos of the day begins?

In the morning!

During all this chaos, do you have time to take care of yourself first? If the answer is no, then you need to change that NOW. I am not trying to be a motivational speaker like Eric Thomas or Tony Robbins, but I do try to give value and help people whenever I can.

So, if you really want to wake up early and get things done, make sure to follow these steps to ensure you have a successful morning routine.

Step 1). What do you want to accomplish in the morning?: Think about the things you would like to get done before work, school, or taking care of your family. For example, If you want to read and work out as part of your morning routine, then write that down.

Step 2) Decide how much time each task will take you: So, you mentioned that you want to read and workout as part of your morning routine. You figured that working out for an hour would be a good amount of time and reading for 30 minutes would benefit you.  So, now you have an idea of how much you need for those two tasks.

Step 3). Include the other miscellaneous activities as well: Now that you know how long your morning routine will take, it's also important to include the other miscellaneous tasks with your morning routine. You need to consider the time it takes you to get ready in the morning, the drive to the gym and the drive back. Do you shower after the gym and then read or do you just come home and read before you shower?

So, let's lay this out.

- It takes you 15 minutes to get ready in the morning.
-It takes 10 minutes to drive to the gym.
-It takes 10 minutes to drive back from the gym
-It takes 20 minutes to shower and get dressed (This depends on
It takes 30 minutes to make breakfast and sit down and enjoy your meal.

So, non-related miscellaneous activities equal to about an hour and fifteen minutes.

Step 4). Add up your time:  Now that you know how long your desired morning routine will take with the other miscellaneous activities. It is time to add them up.

Working out: 1 hour
Reading: 30 minutes
Miscellaneous activities: 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Total time we need for our morning routine?

2 hours and 45 minutes.

Step 5). Decide what time to wake up: So, now we know that our morning routine will take about 2 hours and 45 minutes, we know need to schedule what time to wake up in the morning to make sure we have enough time for our successful morning routine.

If you have to leave the house for work at 8:30 AM, then you need to be up at no later than 5:30 AM. And that still leaves you an extra 15 minutes for whatever else you might need in the morning.
